Our services

Local and long distance household moving

We do two things and we do them properly. Below is exactly what each one includes, and what it does not.

A short list, on purpose

Plenty of movers list a dozen services on their website. We list two, because those are the two we actually run crews for. Everything below is a version of one of them.

We do not pack boxes for you and we do not store your goods. When you need either of those, say so and we will point you toward someone who does them well. That is how we prefer to work.

Service one

Local moving in Maine

Moving from one Maine address to another, anywhere in our service area. Most of these finish inside a single day. We arrive in the window we agreed, load your home, drive it over, and unload room by room so you are not left with a pile in the hallway.

  • Loading and unloading by our own crew
  • Beds, tables and large furniture taken apart and rebuilt
  • Furniture wrapped and padded for the drive
  • Stairs, walk ups and awkward driveways handled
  • Boxes placed in the room you tell us, not by the door

Service two

Long distance and interstate moving

Moving out of Maine to another state, or coming the other way. These take more planning, so we agree the pickup and delivery windows with you up front and you keep the same point of contact the whole way through.

  • Maine to any state, and back into Maine
  • Pickup and delivery windows agreed before you book
  • One person you can call, start to finish
  • Furniture wrapped and padded for the long haul
  • Your quote in writing before anything is loaded

Also covered

Apartment and condo moves

Same service, harder building. Narrow stairwells, shared lifts, loading zones with a time limit and a property manager who wants paperwork. We plan around all of it before the day rather than on the day.

  • Walk ups and buildings without a lift
  • Booked lift slots and loading bays
  • Studios through to larger multi bedroom units

Also covered

Downsizing and smaller home moves

Moving into something smaller is rarely just about the furniture, and it is usually not a rushed day. We work at the pace the household needs and we keep the crew patient about it.

  • Smaller loads and part loads
  • Moving into a smaller home or a family home
  • Unhurried loading and clear communication throughout

Questions about our services

What do I need to do before the crew arrives?

Have everything boxed and taped, and label the boxes with the room they belong in at the new place. Clear a path to the door. That is the whole list.

Is there anything you cannot move?

Yes. Like every mover, we cannot carry hazardous or flammable items, fuel, ammunition, live animals or perishable food. If you are unsure about a particular item, ask us before the day.

Do you take furniture apart and put it back together?

Yes. Beds, tables and larger pieces that will not fit through a door come apart and go back together at the other end. Mention anything unusual when you request your quote.

Do you charge by the hour or by the job?

It depends on the move, and we tell you which one applies before you book. Whichever it is, you will know the basis for the price rather than finding out at the end. Ask us if anything is unclear.

Tell us about your move

Send the basics and we will come back with a clear number. It costs nothing to ask.
