About us
A moving company that does two things well
Safe Move Mobility is a licensed and insured household mover working out of Maine. Here is how we work and what you can hold us to.
Why our service list is short
Most moving websites run ten or twelve services down the side of the page. Some of those companies really do put crews on every one of them. Plenty of them quietly hand your job to a company you have never spoken to.
We would rather be honest about our range. We move households. Local moves inside Maine, and long distance moves between Maine and other states. That is the whole list, and it is the list because those are the jobs our own crews run.
If your move needs something outside that, tell us and we will point you to someone who does it properly. That costs us nothing and it saves you a bad day.

How we work
The day belongs to you, not to us
Moving day is stressful because so much of it is out of your hands. Our job is to hand as much of it back as we can.
That means an arrival window you can plan around, a crew that tells you what they are doing, and a price that does not change shape halfway through the afternoon.
We run this across the whole state, so a move out of a Portland apartment and a move off a dirt road in Waldo County both get planned properly rather than improvised on the day.
What you can hold us to
Four promises, and no small print under them
We are licensed and insured
Ask for the details and you get them, before you book rather than after. Any mover who hesitates at that question is telling you something.
We quote before we load
You see the number before anything goes on the truck. If something on the day changes it, you hear that from us at the time, not on the invoice.
We turn up in the window
You get a real arrival window. If traffic or weather moves it, you get a call before you start wondering where we are.
We will tell you no
If your move is outside what we do well, we say so and point you somewhere better. A job we should not have taken helps nobody.
How to check any mover, including us
You are handing strangers everything you own. Here is what to ask before you hand over a deposit, whoever you end up booking.
- Ask for licence and insurance details, and expect to receive them
- Ask what the price is based on, and what would change it
- Ask whether your move will be handed to another company
- Be careful with quotes that come in far below everyone else
- Get at least three quotes before you decide
We are happy to be compared. That is what a mover who does honest work should say.
